A garage pop concoction of loud riffs, catchy hooks, and a rock & roll sound that will have you moving all night.
The Chemicals trace back to when kindred spirits, Joe Stone (Drums) and Christian Crandall (Lead Guitar), first ignited their musical partnership over a decade ago in Chico, CA. Little did they know that this fortuitous collaboration would lay the groundwork for what would become The Chemicals. Their journey reached new heights when they teamed up with Jordan Wiley (Bass) in a subsequent project. Completing the final piece of the puzzle, Jesse Russell (Vocals, Keys, Guitar) joined forces in early 2023. It was then that The Chemicals came into being, united by a shared passion for crafting infectious rhythms and captivating melodies.
Making their grand entrance into the music scene of Northern California in early 2023, the band quickly gained traction and began performing throughout California, soon after embarking on their first supporting tour in the summer of 2023. Hailing from Chico, Santa Cruz, and the Bay Area, the band converges in Oakland for rehearsals.
In late 2023, The Chemicals released their debut live EP, “Live From APT 1”, showcasing the relentless drive and signature sound they developed over a crazy year of musical exploration.
2023 ended on a high note, connecting with engineer & sonic wizard Chris Keene (Cutters Cathedral) to craft their debut studio record, set for release in Spring 2024. The band will soon be hitting the road in support of their release with a series of headlining shows throughout the Pacific Northwest.
